Feel worthy of Love: Understand your role
In our last blog we looked at how recognising our issues can help us love and feel loved again; similarly it is important for us to understand our roles.
Growing up, many of us receive messages that say we are only acceptable if we behave in a certain way. Over time we internalise these roles, and they become part of who we are and our day to day lives. We never feel loved for ourselves, but rather for how we behave. We have identified several roles below that many of us adopt-can you see yourself in any of these?
The Good Child
You believed you have to behave perfectly in order to feel loved. Now you are constantly telling yourself you must be good in your relationships and friends to deserve love. You feel that if you were to put one bad foot wrong it would be unforgivable.
The Star Child
You felt that you were only lovable if you were outstanding. You work hard to make people proud and win admiration.
The Helping Child
You’ve always put other people first and were always on hand to make things better. As an adult, you are always helping others-whether it’s in love or in friendships.
The Happy Child
If you feel down-you hide it. As a child you may have been raised that it was not ok to show distress, so you put on a happy front.
The Melancholy Child
You believe that being unhappy will get you attention and sympathy. Perhaps your parents only noticed you when you were miserable. You now feel that you are scared to show that you are happy in case it means you won’t get attention and love.
Understanding your role can help you understand your relationships and the role you have to play-and what you need to look for in a future partner. Whatever your concerns or fears may be, our psychic readers can provide you the spiritual guidance and direction you need to welcome love and happiness back into your life.
