Is my love real?

Posted by SB Admin on 14 September 2015 in Common questions asked

Most of us dedicate our lives to finding our one true love, our soul-mate; however with 7 billion people to choose from, how do you know when you have found the one?

Are you the centre of your partners attention?

When you spend quality time together, does your partner focus their attention on you, or do they often seem easily distracted? Do they smile at you and laugh at your jokes? Do you and your partner connect on an emotional level-not just a physical one?

Do you share some common interests?

Being too different from your partner can lead to a great deal of misunderstandings and heartbreak in the future. If the two of you share some common interests, such as exercise, movies, or cooking then you can do things together that create a deeper bond and lead to greater communication.

Do you have similar backgrounds?

It’s important for your future to be able to relate to each other’s pasts. get to know your partner and find out how each of you were raised and then celebrate the coming together, as well as the separateness. You don’t have to have had identical upbringings, but common values and shared beliefs are a good indication that your partner is the one.

Are there frequent displays of affection?

Are they spontaneously leaving you surprises or notes? Or, do you only get gifts and cards on birthdays, anniversaries or holidays? A simple text to say “I’m thinking of you” can speak louder than lavish presents once a year. It’s a sign of devotion and love that can last forever.

You should never be afraid to show your interest and, even more importantly, never be afraid to receive the love offered to you. Both take great courage and both offer astounding rewards!
